During the six months ending in June 30, 2017, system-wide sales were 233.2 billion yen, an increase of 28.2 billion yen i+13.8%j from the
same period last year and consolidated sales were 121.2 billion yen, an increase of 16.3 billion yen i+15.6%j from the same period last
year.
Growth in sales and improved profitability of restaurants resulted in ordinary income of 10.1 billion yen, up 10.2 billion yen compared to the
same period last year.
Same-store sales compared to the same period in the previous year were up for the seventh consecutive quarter, indicating that the business
continues to grow firmly.
In addition to the focus on gappealing menu and valueh, gcomfortable restaurant experienceh and gbrand enhancementh that wefve been continuously
implementing from last year, we have been taking innovative approaches this year in the three areas of gtastinessh, gconvenienceh and gpeople.h
We believe that the improvement of our business performance is the result of synergistic effects from the ongoing implementation of these
initiatives.
From the third quarter onwards, we will continue efforts to further enhance customersf restaurant experience, accelerate investment in
restaurants and people, while we aim for ongoing business growth and increasing profitability.
