Fiscal Year 2012 was marked by ongoing severe business environment due to contraction of IEO market. Amid this difficult situation, the group continued to provide exclusive value and executed actions focused at competitive areas. Specifically, the Group facilitated restaurant development centered on large-scale drive-thru restaurants, and at the same time reviewed discount promotions designed to capture short-term sales.
Previous strategic execution of closing 433 restaurants proved to be a significant contributor in enhancing business baseline, and therefore decision was made to strategically close another 110 restaurants.
Above activities resulted in bigger market share as well as higher customer satisfaction and brand score. The Group also launched its mid to long term business model of Mac Delivery Service and McCafe By Barista outlets. |
